Dynamic Headroom - These speakers were designed for excellent excursion and quick response to provide realism in sound reproduction. As the volume increases, the accuracy of response is maintained without the typical effects of compression. The model 3096E possesses the ability to handle extra power for strong performances and long playing duration. Up to 300 watts continuous!
Sound Stage - The model 3096E driver compliment of a 12 inch woofer, 10 inch midbass and special 1 ½ inch dome upper mid / high frequency driver, combined in a unique array, provide exceptional clarity and acoustic realism. The model 3096E is also bi-wire ready, so using two amplifiers can provide extended possibilities for performance and use.
Distortion Control - Vented voice coils and ferrofluid cooled tweeters are used to provide extended play while reducing any altering of the sound. High grade, large gauge, air core copper coils in our crossover networks provide low saturation and low heat buildup. Use of all polypropylene capacitors produce quick and accurate response. The development of our angled port design and use of separate bass and mid bass output assures tighter and less distorted low frequency output. A special anti-resonance tweeter mounting reduces cabinet vibration distortion.
Time Enduring Construction - The enclosures are built with quality joinery to help avoid loosening joints and buzzing. Heavy cast frames reduce speaker frame flex or sagging and minimize magnetic dissipation which destroys sound over time. The speaker drivers are engineered to maintain more precise movement and provide longer lasting durability. Gold plated, solid brass binding posts are used to assure a good connection while virtually eliminating corrosion.
Hand-Crafted Wood Finish - Our cabinets are finished in hand-rubbed, oiled, wood veneer with a protective outer layer. A definite object of beauty to compliment the finest living areas. Cherry finish is standard, with optional finishes available.
Speaker Placement - Gertner Audio’s® angled port technology allows you to place your speakers almost anywhere in the room including practically against the wall. And since they are beautifully finished on all sides and dimensioned to be as compact as possible, you have the greatest flexibility for your living space. The cabinet measures approximately: 16" w x 18"d x 50" h.Individually Tested - Each speaker is individually tested to help assure your first time satisfaction.
