Efficiency - These are excellent for use with tube amplification. Better efficiency can mean less distortion through better signal transfer.  Model 1091 speakers consist of components that produce above average efficiency- a strong 91 dB.

Frequency Response - Model 1091 speakers were developed for listening in the home not the laboratory.  The careful choices of components and crossover designs were made to attain a consistently smooth frequency response.  With a response from 35 - 20,000 Hz, the model 1091 will earn respect and admiration.

Dynamic Headroom - These speakers were designed for excellent excursion and quick response to provide realism in sound reproduction.  As the volume increases, the accuracy of response is maintained without the typical effects of compression.  The model 1091 possesses the ability to handle power to spare for life - like performances and long playing duration.  Up to 100 watts continuous!

Sound Stage - The model 1091 driver compliment of an 8 inch woofer and special 1 ½ inch dome upper mid / high frequency driver, provide exceptional clarity, and extremely wide dispersion.

Distortion Control - Vented voice coils and ferrofluid cooled tweeters are used to provide extended play without altering the sound.  High grade, large gauge, air core copper coils in our crossover networks provide low saturation and low heat buildup.   Use of all polypropylene capacitors produce quick and accurate response.  The development of our angled port design assures tighter and less distorted low frequency output. 

Time Enduring Construction - The enclosures are built with quality joinery to avoid loosening joints and buzzing.  The speaker drivers are engineered to maintain more precise movement and provide longer lasting durability.  Gold plated binding posts are used to assure a good connection while virtually eliminating corrosion.

Hand-Crafted Wood Finish - Our cabinets are finished in hand-rubbed, oiled, wood veneer with a protective outer layer.  A definite object of beauty to compliment the finest living areas.  Cherry finish is standard, with optional finishes available.

Speaker Placement - Gertner Audio’s® angled port technology allows you to place your speakers almost anywhere in the room including against the wall.  And since they are beautifully finished on all sides and dimensioned to be as compact as possible, you have the greatest flexibility for your living space.  The cabinet measures approximately: 12" w x 13"d x 24" h.
